- A National Broadband Plan for Our Future in WC Docket No. 07-245 and GN Docket No. 09-51(Pole Attachments Order). The Federal Register published the effective date of June 8, 2011 for the rules adopted in the Pole Attachments Order, except for the rules regarding the timeline and use of utility-approved, independent contractors. Those rules, 47 C.F.R. §§ 1.1420, 1.1422 and 1.1424, contain information collection requirements that could not be effective until approved by OMB. Through this notice, the Commission announces that the rules have received OMB approval, and the Federal Register has announced the effective date for 47 C.F.R. §§ 1.1420, 1.1422 and 1.1424 of July 12, 2011. Thus, all the rules in the Pole Attachments Order have now taken effect.
