When Required . The need to conduct a partial proof of performance is triggered by an indication that the antenna system is not operating properly. See 47 C.F.R. § 73.61. Indicators include monitoring point readings exceeding the limits specified on the station's license and antenna monitor readings exceeding the tolerances specified in the rules. Form 302-AM should include the results of the partial proof, along with full directional and nondirectional measurements and graphical analysis of the radial(s) to be augmented. Both forms require a filing fee. See 47 C.F.R. § 73.61. Other circumstances which necessitate a partial proof of performance include alterations to or near the AM tower (such as adding transmission lines, isocouplers or communications antennas); replacing guy wires; or changing isolation chokes for tower obstruction lighting. A partial proof is also required to verify proper adjustment of an antenna system when operation is resumed following a period of silence

- monitor to measure the operating parameters. See 47 C.F.R. §§ 73.62, 73.69. Each AM station using a directional antenna must take field strength measurements at the monitoring point locations specified in the instrument of authorization, as often as necessary to ensure that fields at those points do not exceed the values specified in the station authorization. See 47 C.F.R. § 73.61. 47 C.F.R. § 73.62(b). 47 C.F.R. § 73.1350(d)(2). Notice, 18 FCC Rcd at 13572. Id. at 13571. Notice, 18 FCC Rcd at 13572. Id. Id. Id. Id. WCSR Comments at 1. NAB Comments at 2. - wish to request augmentation should file concurrently Forms 301-AM and 302-AM. Form 301-AM should include an allocation study demonstrating that no interference would result.
